Beginning Handbuilding

Learn the basics of clay with an experienced and passionate potter, 1 night a week for 6 weeks, Tuesday Night from 6:00pm to 8:30pm. Workshop is all inclusive and includes clay, access to studio tools and firings. Members keep what they create, with at least 3 distinct projects in pinching (shaping clay from a single ball), coiling (stacking ropes of clay), and slab building (assembling flat, rolled sheets of clay). Learn the basics of glazing and decorating, surface design, colorants. Most importantly, how to handle clay safely, and with technical proficiency.
